I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and raised on the beautiful island of St. Croix. Ever since I can remember, I have had an appreciation for art, and even more so, a respect for the artist. Although I had never truly found a medium to work in, I always had a dream to create art. It wasn’t until I experienced a serious, physical injury during my studies in the U.S., that a medium found me. In order to distract myself, not only from the physical pain but also from the change in daily life, my good friend advised me to pick up a camera. I haven’t put it down since then. As I started to explore this new way to express myself, friends would see my work and describe it in a way that made me feel like an artist. From these experiences, photography became a very important part of my life. I wanted to improve and learn about this skill. I left the school I was attending and transferred to the Center for Digital Imaging and Arts at Boston University. From CDIA, I earned a certification Certificate in Professional Photography. I am now living at home in the island of St. Croix doing what I love, and attempting to capture St. Croix as I remember it from my youth. I hope you enjoy my work. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me.
